    Another few months pass...

Good Lord I can't keep this thing updated. I recieved an e-mail from the the 'Xanga Team' (an automated thing) telling me that the site has "missed me" (awws!) and it's been a while since I last updated my blog. I chuckled and didn't think much of it until now when I'm sitting here at work falling asleep, sipping a Diet Coke from McDonalds, eating chips, and clogging my arteries on fattening food (of which I've acknowledged I eat too much of and need to start working out - not that I'm fat, but I'm gaining weight that I've needed for years, but it's all going to the gut *laughs*).

I'm going to just use a list and update what's been going on thus far since October.

    • Wonderful relationship ended well before Christmas last year (they always do, the stupid things)
    • My office is closing on April 11th (but not before I use my benefits for my vision and cover a 3-month supply of contacts and my glasses frames!)
    • I have a retro video game system called the Turbografx 16 (one of the first ones I used growing up in the 90's)
    • I have a "next-gen" console.. I've finally taken the time to upgrade to an XBOX 360
    • I owe the government $771 in incomeback-taxes (they can never get any fucking thing right... let alone their math!)
    • I'm disappointed in Halo 3

Stop... (it's Hammertime).. or not really. But it's time to break it down.

Topic 1: It was fine at the time and then I found some messy things out shortly thereafter. Suffice it to say, I have my giant stuffed penguin back along with the $255 14k bracelet I gave her. 'Nuff said.

Topic 2: Stream (the company I work for) has decided to close it's doors here in Saint John and the original cut-off day was March 15, 2008. Their excuse/reason for closing our site was that out of all Stream sites, ours is the only one with a single contract and as such, it wasn't financially viable to stay open (complete and utter bullshit because they could easily pull in another contract from another company).... but someone somewhere in corporate decided to keep our site open for another month or so until April 11th, 2008. By that time, they'd already screwed alot of us over as some have quit because the company is run by fucktards, some want Unemployment, some are moving, and some are going elsewhere for work. Especially for those that are moving, they've been screwed out of another month's worth of work due ot the fact that their moving date was set previous to the decision to stay open (my brother as an example). In terms of scheduling, my boss had me scheduled to work all last week and as such, I had to have him reschedule me and work short-handed because my manager here on-site wouldn't fix things when the company he works for completely fucked me over. Needless to say, I've had myself removed from Fri/Sat schedules at the office to work downstairs in the mall at The Source/Radioshack (along with working Mondays when the office is closed).

Topic 3: When I was growing up in the early 90's, my dad (as awesome as he is), picked up a videogame system called the Turbografx 16 (the 16 stood for 16-bit). The system was as advanced as the Supernintendo, was released a few years earlier than the SNES, and featured an attatchment for the CD system (sold separately) or the 'File Cabinet' system (sold separately to let you save games). The games were all released on 'Hu Cards' (about the size of a credit card in width and depth, and about three credit cards thick...very bloody small) which were compact and portable, cases the size of a CD case. To me, the system was completely kick ass and brought me the best gaming experience (and they still do, thanks to emulators and roms, along with Nintendo's Wii - the games are downloadable via their online store/marketplace)... they brought me the more modern experience as I was still enjoying playing the old ColecoVision and Atari systems in my spare time. Sadly, our system had broken about 1996/97 in an accident involving the power-source, and we were left empty-handed with it :(
Now that I've explained that, I was on my way home for a visit and my bus happened to be delayed due to snowy weather.. and I found a man selling a Turbo-system with two games, controller, video cables, and power-cable priced at $95. I didn't miss the opportunity and promptly brought the system home.

Topic 4: I've finally made the switch to the XBOX 360 Pro console.. after selling my XBOX (with 26 games, three controllers, component output box, and 3ft component cables) for $175. I combined it with my Futureshop credit card that happened to have $200 on it and decided to get a 360 Pro... but F-Shop was sold out and had them all on back-order. I didn't want to be bored for another two weeks, so I picked up the Elit system and paid a total of $508 and pocket change and as well, picked up Halo 3. Upon getting home, I had second thoughts and decided not to open either the game or the system and wait until the "Easter" Saturday and returned them both, simply to pay for the XBOX Pro bundle and save myself $180 in total, but now I had to wait until the back-order systems came in... I was okay with that. This past Monday, I was at The Source/Radioshack and realised "Hey.. we have 360 Pro bundles in here for the same price... and the cashier at F-Shop screwed up and rang my refund/charge for the new system in wrong. Says I paid entireley in cash (which I didn't originally).. I'm getting a refund." So I promptly cabbed over to F-Shop, obtained my refund on debit, came back to the store and made my purchase. I also picked up Halo 3: Legendary Edition later Monday night (was only $10 more than the basic game I picked up, which is why I returned the original) - next Friday... Guitar Hero 3.

Topic 5: Apparently I made just over $27,000 last year in income and the government was supposed to take about $4200 out in taxes... but only managed to (somehow) take out $3420. Typical Government fucks. Needless to say, I'm not happy - especially now that I have to pay H&R Block their $85 fee for a one-minute process to copy/paste numbers from my T4 slips into an Excel spreadsheet that automatically does the work for them.

Topic 6: I've been playing Halo 3 the last two nights since Monday (about three hours a night) and I'm already nearly finished the game. I'm very disappointed as to how short the game is.. but the visuals are nice despite recieving a coat of wax/polish since Halo 2 (it's been nearly 4 years to improve on the graphics engine Bungie!). I've found myself laughing my ass off at the little Covenant grunts as they run around and yell and scream their little cries of surprise, anger, and fear as they spot you. I admit, some of them sound hilariously cute.

Moar updates to come (including new pictures, links, etc).

    A big ball of happy..

Why the crap can't I keep this blog updated?!

Easy way out - bullet lists!

    • I'm in a very happy and wonderful relationship with a wonderful young woman
    • I have my apartment to myself - no tyke or room mate
    • New 32" HDTV

So..aside from the three major points I've outlined - there's nothing really new. I'll be picking up more hours this coming next month (November) on Sundays when The Source is open for Christmas... i'll be working 7 days a week...hopefully I'll finish up at 5:30pm which will leave me an hour to get out to the second church service at Cornerstone right down the street from me. Yeah.. I'm actually going back to church - and my girlfriend is coming along too. :D It's great to go back to church, especially with that one person that you care about the most.
There's been alot of things we've been reading and watching lately which are very..'disturbing' about the American government (and I'm sure that most other governments around the world have done similar things, yet not of the calibre shown in the video we've watched). If you get the chance, head over to www.zeitgeistmovie.com and watch the documentary.

** Please note: The video is divided into three separate parts - the first is solely about proving Christianity as a myth that governments have created. It has already been proven wrong via the dates provided and other minute details - thanks to my girlfriend and her sister.
The second part of the movie is titled 'All the world is a stage' and focusses on the idea that the government is deliberately playing the American (and global) public. The evidence is startling.
The third part of the movie is titled 'Don't mind the men behind the curtain' and focusses on the bankers and mega-corporations that profit from war to further an agenda.

The movie is an entire documentary and is a VERY large eye-opener.

Tell me what you think of it by leaving comments. Focus on Part II if anything else.

Just a side note: I still don't have pictures. I'll take some tonight. Maybe my girlfriend can pop over for a movie or something and pose! *chuckle*

    Early morning

So I still don't have pictures.. geez I'm bad at this.

Anyway - it's 9:46am and I'm at work here at The Source and listening to different music play through our Sirius radio online here. I have coffee and a chocolate pudding cup - everything sounds good for now. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up the computer desk I need to... Cass will need something for the spare computer to be setup on when she moves in next week.. this means I'll have to do ALOT of re-wiring and cable management as she has a little 10-month old tyke with her too. Time to baby-proof the apartment... *chuckles*
Did I mention how much I really like my new phone? Pictures to come soon.

    Another work day

So I didn't get pictures taken or uploaded last night when I got in from work. I did some minor work at home (cleaning up the living room and some minor chatting online with my future room-mate) and I ended up calling it a night early; I had to be up by 6:20am to be out the door by 6:35-ish for a meeting for The Source. It was mainly reviewing our sales processes and how to go about sales in a more 'efficient' manner (like finding out what product will best suit our customers, accessories to go with them, etc - basically everything we already know about and do - but more or less just a reminder to go through all parts of the sale for a more effective sale).

Where this is my second blog post in a row, I think I'm off to a great start when it comes to blogging and keeping up with things now.

This morning I was up at 6:20am... my girlfriend ended up sleeping in (she stayed the night last night) and I had to run out the door to meet Ben (my co-worker) to head across the city for our meeting. I grabbed a coffee at Tim Hortons' and waited for a bit, listening to different music on my phone.. once the meeting was over, I came home and slept about two hours before leaving for another quick meeting - this time up at the Nubody's gym in the mall. Lately, I've been contemplating starting to go to the gym to keep myself in shape and even tone down what stomach I have.. it's been rounding a bit, but that's normal for most guys my age who live alone. We tend to eat alot of fast food and foods high in carbohydrates and calories. I do have a fast metabolism and I do walk everywhere, but walking isn't quite enough. I want to get my back and chest and legs into more shape... I'm hoping to keep my weight healthy and tone what I have to look better too. We'll see what happens.

I really love this new Sony Ericsson W580i - it's really great performance-wise though. The only two things I've noticed about it is... the style of USB cable on the phone is a very flimsy connection, causing my pc to lose connection with the phone if it's turned a certain way or the cable moves, etc. The second feature I dislike is not being able to use regular .mp3's - you have to burn all the sounds and music as a music cd that you want to use for your ring-tones. It's an extra two-step process that you shouldn't have to go through as nearly every other phone allowing mp3's as ringtones works right away. The camera is wonderful in the phone and takes great shots when set to 2.0 Megapixel quality.

I'm sitting here at my desk falling asleep while on calls.. it's annoying... *sigh* I'll close this blog and end with a quote.

"Carpe diem... antepono anima aggredior tui genitalis." - Sieze the day... before life kicks your balls. (Yes, I made that up - literal translation is "Sieze the day... before life attacks your fruit."

    Back - In black

I know, I know - I have a horrible time with commitment which is why I havn't updated this site in months.

So alot has changed now - I moved out of the apartment back at the end of March and into my new place.. here are some highlights:

    • I don't have my Nikon anymore
    • I have my own apartment to myself
    • I have the new Sony Ericsson W580i cell phone
    • I have a laptop now
    • I have a second job - The Source (2nd floor, Brunswick Square shopping center in Saint John)
    • I'm in the middle of paying for my camera - soon to be finished
    • I have extra furniture now in the apartment including coffee tables, end tables, and bean bag chairs
    • I have an XBox with library of over 20+ games so far
    • My movie collection has grown to 220+ dvds, 75+ series, and 300+ individual movies (downloaded movie files)
    • I'll be sharing my apartment with a friend of mine starting the 25th of this month...and her little one (ugh, no sleep for me even if they are staying in another room *chuckles*)

So... as you can see, I've had my hands full lately, but I've been keeping afloat very well. I'll have pictures of my apartment up soon and hopefully it'll be well-liked by everyone. Lately I've been working a minimum of 56 hours a week (40 here at Stream and at least 16 at The Source) and I'm barely making 1k every two weeks.. which is just over $2,000 in a month.
Here's a breakdown of my expense table:

    • Rent - $485
    • Internet - $62.4
    • Power - $30
    • Cell - $55

Base total of bills is $632.40 and I usually spend maybe $50 on groceries a month. If I'm making $2000 a month - I love these numbers.
